Jewellery Care Guide
Simple care can help jewellery maintain its appearance for longer. Always follow any product-specific care instructions supplied with your item.
Everyday care
Remove jewellery before swimming, showering, exercising or doing household work. Avoid unnecessary contact with perfume, cosmetics, hair products, cleaning chemicals and chlorine.
Storage
Store pieces separately in a dry place to reduce scratching, tangling and contact between different metals or stones. Use the supplied pouch or box where appropriate.
Cleaning
For many items, a soft dry or lightly damp cloth is the safest basic option. Do not use abrasive cleaners or ultrasonic cleaning unless the material and gemstone are known to be suitable for that method.
Plated and fashion jewellery
Plated finishes can wear over time. Minimise moisture, friction, sweat and chemical exposure, and store the item dry when not in use.
Gemstone jewellery
Different gemstones have different hardness, stability and treatment considerations. If you are unsure how to clean a particular stone, contact us before using chemical, steam or ultrasonic cleaning.
